Permanent Secretary appointed to Islamic Ministry

Ibrahim Sameer has been appointed to the position of Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

Sameer was appointed to the position yesterday. Letter of appointment was presented at a ceremony held at the Ministry. The President of the Civil Service Commission, Dr. Ali Shameem presented the letter to the Islamic Minister, Dr. Ahmed Ziyad.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the Civil Service Commission highlighted the importance of political appointees and civil service employees working together and requested that the collaboration continue.

The newly appointed PS, Ibrahim Sameer has a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from Malaysia’s Open University and a Bachelor’s of Commerce (Marketing) from India’s Bangalore University.

He has previously worked at the Drug Court and the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture. His last employment was at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs as the Director General.
