President leaves on tour to G. A. Atoll

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom departed on tour to G. A. Atoll on Tuesday morning, during which he is scheduled to visit Vilingili and Gemanafushi.

President’s Office reported that President Yameen will be making his first stop in Vilingili, where he is scheduled to meet with local residents of the island.

President Yameen will then be travelling to Gemanafushi where he is scheduled to inaugurate a mosque and ice plant built on the island.

He will also be attending this year’s Fishermen’s Day function which will be held in Gemanafushi this Tuesday night.

President is accompanied on the tour by Minister of Tourism and Deputy Leader of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) – Moosa Zameer and Minister of Islamic Affairs – Dr. Ahmed Ziyad.
