Woman drowns in H. A. Dhidhdhoo

A woman out in the ocean for her daily exercises drowned in H. A. Dhidhdhoo this Monday morning.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Naseema Abdulla from Bahaaruge in Dhidhdhoo.

Manager of Dhidhdhoo Hospital, Mohamed Hassan reported to “Sun” that Naseema was brought into the hospital at 6:45 am. And that she had no heartbeat when brought in.

“She had taken in a huge amount of water. The doctors tried really hard. She had no heartbeat when brought into the hospital. The doctors said her heart had already stopped beating when she was brought in,” said Mohamed Hassan.

Though Naseema is reported to suffer from seizures, Dhidhdhoo Hospital said that they weren’t made aware of any such medical history.

She went to the ocean for exercise accompanied by a group of other women.
