Mahloof leaves to India for treatment

MP for the South Galolhu constituency, Ahmed Mahloof, who is currently serving an year-old prison sentence, has left for India for medical treatment.

A tweet sent out by the wife of the MP, Nazra Naseem confirmed Mahloof's departure to India. The tweet said that the MP Mahloof would be returning to the country in ten days.

Sources say that Mahloof went to Trivandrum for treatment. The MP has consulted doctors in the country as well.

MP Mahloof is also the Spokesperson for the Maldives United Opposition (MUO) who is on the front lines of their activities.
