An awareness program on the Penal Code has been conducted for employees of the courts in Malé City.
The three-day program organized and conducted by the Judicial Academy came to a close this afternoon. Along with the awareness program, participants were informed on the implementation of the laws within the criminal justice system.
A total of 27 employees including registrars from the High Court and superior courts took part in the program. Participants were awarded certificates at the closing ceremony today.
Sessions at the program were conducted by the Chancellor at the Judicial Academy, Ahmed Maajid, High Court Judge, Abdul-Rauf Ibrahim and the Criminal Court Judge, Adam Areef.
Judicial Academy has conduct a similar workshop last November for the Magistrates of Alifu Alifu, Vaavu, Meemu, Faafu, Dhaalu, Laamu and Thaa Atolls. A total of 32 Magistrates took part and achieved certificates at the program held in Faafu Atoll Nilandhoo.
