Dubai’s fast-food franchise ChicKing coming to Maldives

Dubai’s fast-food chain, ChicKing, is set to open its franchises in Maldives in the year 2017.

ChicKing is a halal-certified fast-food franchise which is gaining increasing popularity in the South Asian region.

Local company, TFC Investment signed as master franchisee of ChicKing’s outlets in Maldives on November 27.

The agreement was signed by Director of TFC Investment, Ahmed Nasheed and CEO of BFI Management DMCC, Management Division of ChicKing, Sreekanth N P.

Chairman and Managing Director of ChicKing, A K Mansoor was also present during the ceremony.

According to TFC Investment, total three ChicKing outlets will be built in Maldives; the first one will be built in the first quarter of 2017.

Starting an outlet of ChicKing renowned for its experimentations with tastes in Maldives would be an innovation for the fast food chain,” said Ahmed Nasheed.

A K Mansoor, Indian native, opened the first ChicKing outlet in Dubai, United Arab Emirates 15 years ago.

He said that he was confident ChicKing had found its perfect partner in Maldives.

ChicKing has more than 100 outlets in multiple countries; including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia.

In addition to Maldives, ChicKing plans on opening its franchises in Philippines, Russia, France, Ivory Coast, Turkey, Morocco, UK and New Zealand.

International franchises already operating in Maldives include Malaysia’s Marry Brown, Secret Recipe, and Indian frozen yoghurt franchise – Cocoberry.

Additional franchises – Burger King, Thai Express, Coffee Club and Swenson’s have outlets at the national airport, Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA).

The pavilion under construction at Rasfannu Artificial Beach is set to accommodate Pizza Hut and KFC outlets.

Meanwhile, The Manhattan Fish Market and Barista Coffee is also set to open its outlets in Maldives.
