Sun Aqua Vilu Reef chosen Leading Water Villa Resort

Sun Group’s Sun Aqua Vilu Reef Maldives has won the award for Leading Water Villa Resort by World Travel Awards.

Sun Aqua Vilu Reef was given the award during the WTA 2016 grand finale held at The Sun

Siyam Iru Fushi Beach and Spa Resort on Friday night.

Additional awards won by Maldivian resorts and hotels include:

• Leading Diving Destination: Constance Moofushi Maldives

• Leading Airport Hotel: Hulhule’ Island Hotel (HIH)

• Leading Private Island: Coco Island Resort

• Leading Spa Destination: Olhuveli Beach & Spa Resort

Meanwhile, Chairman and Managing Director of Sun Group, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed won the World Tourism Pioneer Award.

The WTA 2016 grand finale was attended by Maldivian Cabinet ministers and heads of tourism businesses from around the world.
