Maldives wins 3 awards at World Travel Awards 2016

Maldives has won three awards at the World Travel Awards 2016.

The awards were handed over at the WTA 2016 grand finale held at The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Beach and Spa Resort on Friday night.

Maldives won Leading Diving Destination, and Leading Spa Destination, and Leading Beach Destination.

Meanwhile, Sun Group’s Sun Aqua Vilu Reef Maldives won the award for Leading Water Villa, Hulhule’ Island Hotel (HIH) won Leading Airport Hotel, and Coco Island Resort won the award for Leading Private Island.

Chairman and Managing Director of Sun Group, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed won the World Tourism Pioneer Award.

The WTA 2016 grand finale was attended by Maldivian Cabinet ministers and heads of tourism businesses from around the world.
