Hurawalhi Island Resort & Spa has been opened in Maldives with the world’s largest underwater restaurant.
Hurawalhi, developed by Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR) was opened last Thursday.
The resort was opened with a special promotional offer of a 50 percent discount for 6-night bookings made this December.
Hurawalhi, located in Lh. Atoll has 60 ocean villas and 30 beach villas.
It also houses the world’s largest underwater restaurant – “5.8” – built in New Zealand and transported to the Maldivian island.
The resort is a 40-minute seaplane ride away from the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, and is powered through solar energy.
The resort even houses a water plant.
The resort is 22.2 meters long; while its underwater restaurant “5.8” is installed 5.8 meters below sea-level.
The restaurant has 12 two-seat tables and accommodates 24 people at a time.
Hurawalhi is the latest in the new resorts opened in Maldives this year; including The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, and Soneva Jani.
