Maldivian Vice President Abdulla Jihad has called on his Indian counterpart, Vice President M. Hamid Ansari.
The courtesy call took place at The Taj Palace in New Delhi, India on Monday night.
VP Jihad is staying at The Taj Palace for Maldives Investment Forum 2016.
He attended the Gala Banquet held on Monday night, and will be in attendance during the inauguration ceremony of MIF 2016 this Tuesday.
President’s Office reports that the two VPs discussed regional security and trade cooperation; focusing especially on the potential for further collaboration between the two countries in banking and finance.
Maldivian Ambassador to India - Ahmed Mohamed, Deputy Under Secretary at President's Office - Ilham Idris, and Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy of Maldives in India - Shazra Abdul Sattar joined VP Jihad on his call.
