Police probe threat against President Yameen

Police have started investigating a threat made against President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

“Sun” has been informed that the case under investigation involves a threat made against President Yameen by an individual from his Facebook account.

The individual who wrote the threatening Facebook status has been questioned by police.

In answer to questions asked by “Sun”, police media official reported that the police were investigating a threat made against an individual, but that details regarding the case cannot be released as the case is under investigation.
