Huravalhi opens in December with the largest underwater restaurant in the world

Huravalhi Maldives Resort has been set to open this December with the largest underwater restaurant in the world.

The resort developed by Crown and Champaa Resorts was originally set to open in August but the opening was pushed back to December.

The Eco Friendly resort that uses renewable energy developed in the Lhavaiyani atoll, Huravalhi Maldives has a total of 90 Villas with 60 Ocean Villas, and 30 Beach Villas.

While solar panels create the electricity needed for the resort, it also contains a water bottling plant.

Huravalhi Maldives is a notable resort with global standards with the largest underwater restaurant in the world. The underwater restaurant entitled, “5.8” was built in New Zealand and was installed at the resort in March.

While the resort is 22.2 meters long, the restaurant is 5.8 meters deep in the ocean and has a capacity of 24 people. That is 12 tables, two persons per table.

As the preparations are underway to open the resort on 1 December 2016, the resort has opened a promotional discount price.

And so up to 31 March 2017, all bookings made a the resort would receive a 20 percent discount for stays at the resort between 1 December 2016 to 30 April 2017.
