Kuramathi Island Resort and Maafushivaru Resort have been conferred the Travelife Gold for sustainable and eco-friendly tourism.
Kuramathi is not a first-timer to the award, having been conferred it as far back as 2012.
Both Kuramathi and Maafushivaru are run by the same company.
Kuramathi has also been conferred the TUI Environmental Award 2016.

“Today we have won the fifth such award. The award is a result of hard work by our staff. We congratulate them all,” read the statement.
General Manager of Kuramathi Island Resort, Abdul Latheef said the resort would continue its efforts to protect the environment and maintain the awards.
