Minister: Every Maldivian considers education a priority

Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Shiham has remarked that every Maldivian placed extreme importance on education, celebrating the conclusion of her tour of every school of every island of the country.

During the celebrations held at Ministry of Education this Sunday morning, Dr. Shiham said she received full cooperation of all the schools and parents of the students during her tour.

She said it was proof of the priority given by every Maldivian to education.

Shiham said she and her team observed how the policies of the government were implemented in every school, facilitating modification of such policies on a case by case basis to provide for much more efficient running of schools.

She had met with management of schools, teachers, students and their parents of schools in the atolls during her tour.

The tour was held over a period of three years.
