Tholal, Bunyaameen appointed to PPM Council of Yameen ‘s faction

Former Secretary-General of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), Ahmed Tholal, and Ahmed Bunyaameen have been appointed to the PPM Council of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s faction.

Tholal and Bunyaameen were appointed to the council during its meeting held on Monday night.

Secretary-General of PPM appointed by Yameen’s faction, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel spoke to “Sun” this Tuesday and said that along with appointing Tholal and Bunyaameen to the council, members also appointed vacant seats in some of the party’s committees.

Khaleel said the council also decided to discuss alliance proposed by Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), and discussed PPM’s anniversary celebrations during the meeting.

Discussions regarding the upcoming Local Council Election was also carried out during the 26-member meeting.

While the meeting was being carried out, faction of PPM Leader, former Maldivian President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s also carried out their council meeting.
