Three more parks developed in the crowded capital of Malé City to create a serene environment, had been opened today by President Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
The parks opened today are, "Iskandharu Maizan" at Carnival area, "Rehendhi Maizan" near the National Museum and "Hiythan Maizan" at Sosunge.
Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that the park at the Carnival area was funded by Island Aviation and developed by the Ministry.
And the parks at Sosunge and the museum was developed by the MRDC.
Iskandharu Maizan at carnival is developed for children with different toys available for them. The park has seating areas for parents and children and designed with 3D art.
The park near the museum is designed for school students and parents while the Sosunge park is for the youth.
The Housing Ministry has developed parks in the capital before as well.
They include Rasfannu, Tsunami Monument and "Raiveribey Maizan" on the southwest of Malé City. And they also relocated the Republic Monument to Maafannu Bisburu and developed the "Muiveyodhoshu Maizan".
