AirAsia begins big plane flights with USD 99 fares to Malaysia

AirAsia the only airline with direct flights to Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia, from the Maldives, has started their flights to KL with larger aircrafts.

With AirAsia flights to KL on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, the airline have previously used the A320 Airbus which has a 180 Economy seating capacity.

But the flights have been upgraded to larger planes.

A statement issued by AirAsia today said that AirAsia is now operating the Airbus A330 aircraft which has a capacity of 377 seats with 12 Premium Flatbeds.

AirAsia Airbus A330 aircraft Premium Flatbeds were awarded ‘World’s Best Low Cost Airline Premium Seat’ by Skytrax for four consecutive years, and feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screen.

“We are proud to be the only airline that provides direct connectivity between the Maldives and Malaysia, and are pleased to share that response from both ends have been very encouraging, resulting in our decision to operate a larger aircraft to facilitate the strong market demand.” Head of Commercial for AirAsia Berhad, Spencer Lee said.

Bookings for the promotional fares are available online at airasia.com from now until 23 October 2016, as well as on the airline’s mobile app on iPhone and Android devices. The travel period will be from now until 31 December 2016.
