Iqbal appointed Chairman of Fenaka Corporation

Iqbal Adam, G. Vashafaru, Male’ has been appointed Chairman of Fenaka Corporation – the largest State corporation which provides water, electricity and sanitary services in the country.

President of Privatization and Corporation Board, Mohamed Nizar has confirmed Iqbal was appointed the new Chairman of Fenaka Corporation this Wednesday, October 19.

Iqbal had most recently been working as Chairman of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

Iqbal’s appointment comes in the heels of former Thimarafushi MP, Ahmed Shareef’s appointment as the new Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation.

Iqbal was also recently appointed Deputy Secretary-General of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s faction.
