STO: Demand for ready-mix concrete is very good

State Trade Organization (STO) has said that the public demand for ready-mix concrete for different construction projects is very high.

Responding to a question from Sun Media today, the General Manager of Transport and Construction at STO, Abdul Waahid Moosa said that ready-mix concrete is being provided to a customer every night under STO’s PowerMix service.

“Demand is very good. A lot of trusted, big companies are even now buying ready-mix.” Abdul Waahid Moosa said.

To being the ready-mix concrete service, the government has given the No. 6 Block to STO.

STO started a special promotion on PowerMix today. The service was first introduced in January at the Build and Home Expo by the President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

The use of ready-mix concrete with the PowerMix reduces the usual concrete work at worksites with the roads closed by 4-6 hours.

With Power Mix, customers get concrete pumping service without having to close off the road.

STO says that the strong ready-mix concrete they provide is a laboratory tested quality controlled product.

Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has previously said that introducing ready-mix concrete is a government policy.
