BML becomes official Banking Partner for Maldivian Idol

Bank of Maldives (BML) has been assigned as the Banking Partner for the second season of Maldivian Idol hosted by the Public Service Media (PSM).

The National Bank signed an agreement with PSM to become the official Banking Partner of the second season of Maldivian Idol at a colorful ceremony held this afternoon attended by the winner of the first season of Maldivian Idol, Laisha Junaid.

The agreement was signed by the CEO and Managing Director of BML, Andrew Healy and the Managing Director of PSM, Ibrahim Khaleel.

Speaking after the signing, BML CEO Healy said that it is a great pleasure for the bank to partner with PSM for Maldivian Idol.

“It is a show that has captured the imagination of Maldivians of all ages and from all walks of life. I had the privilege of attending one of the shows last season and I was extremely impressed by the quality of young talent on display. We are looking forward to stepping up our engagement during the season ahead.” CEO and Managing Director of BML, Andrew Healy said.

Managing Director of PSM, Khaleel also spoke at the ceremony saying that PSM is pleased to have BML signed on as the Banking Partner for the second season of Maldivian Idol.

“BML has been supporting the development needs of communities across the country for many years now, and we are really encouraged by the strong support extended, through this show, to developing the talents of young Maldivians.” Managing Director of PSM, Ibrahim Khaleel said.

Last season, Bank of Maldives presented special customized gift cards to the top 5 contestants of Maldivian Idol.

As the first auditions for the second season of the show are due to begin over the weekend, the new season will premiere in January 2017.
