Sewage leak on Majeedhee Magu during road repairs

A sewage pipe has burst on Majeedhee Magu during the ongoing road repairs leaking sewage to the road.

The pipe burst in front of the Lé Cute shop near Maafannu Cemetery. Repairs are underway on Majeedhee Magu from Star Cinema to Maafannu Cemetery.

A man working in the area said that the incident occurred while excavating to install some other pipes in the road and they are working to repair sewage pipe and resolve the situation.

The sewage leak has the whole area in a foul smell.

Residents in the area say the incident is proving difficult to use toilets.
