Ministry of Finance has opened bidding for construction of a water and sewerage system in Lh. Naifaru, and construction of a sewerage system in Th. Veymandoo.
Ministry opened the bidding to both local and international companies in an announcement it published on the Government Gazette this Sunday.
The projects in Naifaru and Veymandoo are funded through loan assistance by Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID).
The project in Naifaru includes construction of a sewerage system, construction of a sewage treatment plant, establishment of a water system, and construction of storage tank.
The project in Veymandoo includes construction of a sewerage system, sewage treatment plant, and construction of an administrative office to overlook the sewerage system.
Ministry of Finance announced that the bids will be evaluated based on the Goods and Works Guideline by IDB.
Bidding will require a registration fee of MVR 1,500. And the fee will be accepted on every official working day from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, from October 9 to December 1.
Pre-mid meeting will be held at 1 pm, October 26.
Bid security is set at USD 300,000 payable within 148 days from the day the bid is submitted.
The bids will be opened at 1 pm, December 5.
