Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture has announced a special exhibition to mark Agriculture Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, October 10.
The ministry announced that the exhibition to celebrate the 8th Agriculture Day would be held at Dharubaaruge from this Sunday, October 9 to October 11.
The exhibition will be open this Sunday from 4 pm to 6 pm and 8 pm to 10 pm.
The exhibition will be open for longer on Monday and Tuesday; from 9 am to 12 pm, from 1 pm to 3 pm, from 4 pm to 6 pm, and from 8 pm to 10 pm.
Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture announced that the office hoped to celebrate the hard work of local farmers and showcase it to the public, while at the same time inspiring the younger generation to venture into the field.
Visitors will be shown recipes promoting a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables especially for children during the exhibition.
The first National Agriculture Day was celebrated in 2009.
