The Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud has said that the Maldives is “poised to reap the benefit of regional progress”.
Prince Mohammed made the remark on a courtesy visit to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom today on the President’s official visit to Saudi Arabia.
At the meeting at King Saud Guest Palace this morning, the Deputy Crown Prince said that the Saudi Arabia will be supportive of Maldives in the international arena and expressed solidarity with the Maldives and pledged continued partnership between the two countries.
Deputy Crown Prince reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia will continue to support development on the ground of Maldives.
The President’s Office said that President Yameen briefed the Deputy Crown Prince on developmental projects and socioeconomic agenda planned for Maldives and conversed about international engagements of the country and further deliberated on regional progress and security.
President Yameen highlighted that the whole purpose of his administration is to bring growth to the country.
Accompanying the President at the meeting were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of State, Foreign Relations, at the President’s Office, Mohamed Naseer, and Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulla Hameed.
