24 new students to join MNU receives scholarships

Maldives National University (MNU) has awarded scholarships to 24 students from their June intake this year.

At a special ceremony held at today, MNU awarded 20 scholarships that provide free tuition for undergraduate, two scholarships of full funding for undergraduates and two scholarships offering fully funded post-graduate studies.

The annual scholarship opportunities by MNU are awarded to the students that perform the best academically among the students that apply for the scholarships.

And so 46 students applied for the scholarships that provide free tuition and 18 students applied for the fully funded scholarships and six students applied for the fully funded post graduate scholarships.

Deputy Vice Chancellor of the MNU, Aishath Shaaheen said that although the year’s second term scholarships were delayed, the students who won the scholarships would get a refund of the payments they have made to the university.
