A woman has died from injuries after a road accident in Feydhoo, Addu City, on Thursday morning.
Police reported that the accident took place on the main road of Feydhoo, in front of a restaurant.
One motorbike had been trying to turn around when crashed into by a motorbike which was coming in from behind.
The victim has been identified by an official from Feydhoo School as their Leading Teacher for Grade 3, Fathimath Sadha, 41.
The official noted that she had served the school for a long period of time.
Ahmed Zaheen, who is in charge of running Feydhoo Health Center, spoke to “Sun” and said that Saadha was brought in at 9:15 am. And that she was immediately transported to Hithadhoo
Regional Hospital when the doctor noted that she was in critical condition.
“We sent her to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital in a matter of 15 minutes,” said Zaheen.
Director of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Shah Saeed said that Saadha passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.
The details of her injuries haven’t been made available yet.
The accident is under investigation by police.
