Sun Online has been assigned as the online partner for “A Tribute to Naashid”, the tribute music show honoring the popular vocalist from Zero Degree Atoll, Ahmed Naashid (Floo Naashid).
Tribute show organized by the only entertainment magazine in Maldives targeted to music, MISC, is the single largest tribute show to an individual musician in the Maldives.
At a special signing ceremony held today at the Head Office of the Sun Media Group, the agreement was signed by the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Sun Media Group, Minha Faiz Rashad, on behalf of Sun Online and the Founder and Editor at MISC, Riyayath Abdul Majeed.
Speaking at the ceremony, Riyayath said that having the leading online news in the country, Sun Online, as the online partner of the show gives new energy to the show.
The General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Sun Media Group, Minha also spoke at the ceremony saying that Sun Media has always tried to support local sports and entertainment industry along with the social events.
She said that it is a pride to become the online partner of a tribute show of such a special artist as Naashid.
The tribute show for Naashid who has served the Maldivian music industry for over 20 years has been set for 21 September with the likes of STO, National Center of the Arts, Dhiraagu Ezdan and PSM as associate partners.
And while the show has gotten seven supporting partners, MISC says that more partners would be giving their support for the show in the coming days.
The latest supporting partners of “A Tribute to Naashid” has been Sun Online, Rhombus, Segafrado and “Fannaanunge Dharinge Harakaai” along with Veligaa Hardware, DHL and Le Cute has taken part as supporting partners.
The album Zero Degree Atoll from Naashid was a music album that gained a special place in the hearts of the locals and revolutionized the Maldivian music industry. The all-original tracks album contained a number of sounds in the songs that represented the Maldivian culture.
