Fire in teachers’ flats

A fire incident took place in the teachers’ flat “Edhuru Hiyaa” located in Male’, early Saturday morning.

The incident took place at around 6 am inside apartment 805 located in the 1st floor of the building, when the washing machine caught fire.

No one suffered any bodily harm in the incident, but the kitchen of apartment 805 – where the washing machine was located – suffered damage.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and were able put out the fire within 15 minutes.
