Hussain summoned to Police for statement due to Tweet

MP for the Kendhoo constituency, Ali Hussain has been summoned to the Police and had his statement taken following a tweet he sent out on 22 July.

The MP sent out a tweet on 22 July saying that if a Police officer lays his hand on someone unlawfully, that man has the right to, in his defence, lay a land on the officer.

While MP Ali Hussain was summoned to the Police for a statement, he has been summoned to the Police before as well and had his phone seized by the Police under a court order.

He is being suspected of obstructing the Police duties.

The Jumhooree Party member, Ali Hussain is an MP working with the oppositions against the government.
