Authorities have started planting trees along the jogging track built in Rasfannu Artificial Beach.
Media consultant for Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, Ahmed Fazaal Hussain spoke to
“Sun” on Saturday and said that trees would be planted along the entire length of the jogging track, separating the jogging track from the pavement.
Fazaal said that trees which can survive the water from the ocean would be planted there.
Rasfannu – built at great expense and opened earlier this year – has faced a number of challenges including soil erosion and water contamination.
