Faris says he hasn’t been given any official notice of disciplinary issue against him by PPM

Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon has said that he has said that he has not been given any official notification by Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) regarding any disciplinary issue against him.

Faris sent a letter to Deputy Secretary-General of PPM, Abdul Alim in which he said that he had heard widespread coverage on news regarding a complaint lodged against him with PPM Disciplinary Committee.

He said that he had received no notification of anything relating to that from any official source within the party, as was prescribed by PPM Constitution and Disciplinary Committee rules and regulations.

He asked that he be notified as soon as possible if any disciplinary issue against his was being looked into.

Speaking to “Sun” on July 5, Leader of PPM Disciplinary Committee, State Islamic Minister Ali Waheed Abdul Rahman said that the Committee had made the decision to remove him from PPM over the disciplinary issue.

He said that the decision was made after deliberating over the complaint.

Faris was removed from all PPM Viber groups after that.
