A member of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Parliamentary Group has said that Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer was recovering, after an emergency surgery.
Zameer was rushed to hospital complaining of chest pain while he was transiting at Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka on Friday night.
A member of PPM Parliamentary Group spoke to “Sun” on Saturday, and said that Zameer had an angiogram done, which showed that 99 percent of his main artillery was clogged.
“He has had an angioplasty done on him now. The surgery was a success. His condition is improving with god’s good grace,” said the PPM lawmaker.
“Sun” has been informed that Zameer was first rushed to Negombo Hospital at Bandaranaike International Hospital, and then transferred to Intensive Care Unit of Lanka Hospital.
