A case has been filed at the Elections Commission (EC) against the ruling party PPM for ther illegal use of the resources at the President’s Residence, Muliaage, and the state TV station TVM.
The case against PPM accusing of illegal use of state property was filed by opposition, MDP.
MDP said that the Law of Political Parties state that no government property, land or resources should be allocated for the use of one particular political party.
The letter to the EC by MDP said that despite the law, PPM is using government resources without any restrictions.
The opposition party said that no government institute is allowing for any freedom of expression and public gathering although the Constitution says that no permit is required to do so.
While MDP has sent such a letter to the EC, last Friday, a press conference by the PPM Parliamentary Group was held at Muliaage and TVM presented a live broadcast of the press conference.
