Biman Bangladesh Airlines to start direct flights to Maldives

National airline of Bangladesh – Biman Bangladesh Airlines is to start direct flights to Maldives.

The Daily Star reported with reference to Civil Aviation Ministry of Bangladesh and Biman Bangladesh Airlines that flights would resume to destinations discontinued by the airlines and completely new destinations when they received new planes.

It includes direct flights from the capital of Bangladesh – Dhaka – to Maldives.

Biman said the flights would start by end of this year.

Meanwhile, national airline of Maldives – Maldivian already has direct flights between Dhaka and Maldives, three days a week, starting from November 2012.

A large number of Bangladeshi nationals travel to Maldives for work.
