Modern bus services to commence in Addu, Fuvahmulah on July 13

Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Mohamed Junaid has said that modern bus services in Addu and Fuvahmulah would commence in July 13.

Speaking to press after some of the buses were transported to Addu, Junaid said that all 13 of the buses sent to Addu and Fuvahmulah were modern vehicles which include amenities such as air condition systems and televisions.

Junaid noted that starting up bus services in Addu and Fuvahmulah would be a huge convenience to the people.

Bus services were previously started up and then discontinued by MVK in Addu due to financial difficulties, much to the dismay of citizens living in Addu.

The best bus services are now being provided in Hulhumale’. Metro buses were introduced in the island last year.
