Farooq Mohamed Hassan has been dismissed from his position as the CEO of the Local Government Authority (LGA).
He was dimissed in an LGA board meeting today. Only six of the nine members on the board took part in the meeting today and was dismissed by the unanimous vote of all six members present.
Talking to Sun Media, Farooq said that he has not been officially been notified of his dismissal.
Farooq said that he was dismissed due to a personal issue the members took against him and he would present his case to the employment tribunal.
The former Deputy to the Home Minister, Farooq was assigned as the CEO of LGA on the first board meeting this year on 27 January.
