Demand for air tickets increases as Eid draws closer

National airline – Maldivian – has said that the demand for internal travel has increased as people prepare for vacation on Eid.

Head of Administration, Island Aviation, Nashaath Hameed informed “Sun” on Wednesday that demand for flight tickets had increased.

“The bookings are pretty high with Eid coming up. It will keep on increasing as Eid draws closer,” said Nashaath.

Nashaath said that there were still some seats available in some flights, and that they were working on arranging more flights for Eid.

The demand is highest for destinations like Gn. Fuvahmulah, which has comparatively fewer flights.

It is most likely that Eid will fall on July 6.
