Police search for victims of conman

Police have started looking for victims of a conman - Abdulla Husham, 33, Ma. Bulaashamge, Male’ – who took money from people with the promise that he would rent apartments for them from his house.

Police reported that Husham is the prime suspect in a number of complaints sent to them regarding the scam.

Police have asked that victims of such a scam from his hand call 9790048 (Police Economic Crime Department) to provide information.

Authorities have warned the public to be diligent when making financial transactions, given the rise in such scams.

Police have asked the public to share information of any such suspected case as soon as possible.
