Vaavu Atoll Fulidhoo Island Council has decided to lease three lands from the island’s southern beach to build and operate three guesthouses.
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has allocated an area of 30,000 square feet the southern beach of the island to develop tourism.
An announcement from the Fulidhoo Island Council said that they have decided to lease three lands of 4,000 square feet from the area on bid-basis for 50 years.
The Council said that bids are open to build the guesthouses for the interested parties and can be applied to for the three lands separately or altogether.
Fulidhoo Council said that the bid document would be available at the Fulidhoo Island Council for MVR 1, 000. And the pre-bid meeting has been set for 10 July 2016 at the Council. The final deadline for bid submission is 11 August 2016.
