Lanka’s Horizon Campus provides 24 scholarship opportunities to Maldives

The only private university in Sri Lanka triple accreditation, Horizon College of Business and Technology (Horizon Campus) has provided Maldives 24 scholarship opportunities.

The scholarships are provided to Maldives under the country’s International Higher Education Scholarship Scheme, and amount to about USD 150,000.

The scholarships were officially accepted on behalf of Maldivian government by Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Shiham in a ceremony held at the ministry on Wednesday.

The ceremony was also attended by Chairman of Horizon Group, Upul Daranagama.

Scholarship opportunities were provided for higher education in the field of business management, information technology, and education.

Horizon Campus provided 6 full scholarships, and 18 – 50 percent-covered scholarships.

Maldivian Department of Higher Education said that the scholarship opportunity would be announced soon.

The deadline for the scholarships will be set for some time in October.

Horizon Campus has the acceptance of Sri Lankan Education Ministry, and University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka as a degree awarding institute.

It is also a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities.
