Indian company to build 72 housing units in Hulhumale’

Indian company – Renaatus Projects Private Limited is to build 72 mixed use residential units in Hulhumale’ waterfront area.

Renaatus is not new to Maldives, having built the Maldives National University’s Faculty of Hospitality and undertaken maintenance work on Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

The agreement between Renaatus and Housing Development Corporation (HDC) was signed in a ceremony held at HDC on Wednesday.

It was signed on behalf of HDC by Managing Director, Mohamed Saiman, and on behalf of Renaatus by the company’s Chairman, R. P. Selvasundaram.

Renaatus has been tasked to complete the project within 26 months.

The 72 mixed residential units are part of the plan to provide housing in Hulhumale’ to 7,000 people belonging to the middleclass.

HDC has also awarded Damas, Batch Construction and Apollo Holdings to build some of the housing units as part of the plan.
