Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has sponsored education of 20 students studying in Care Development Center, run by Care Society of Maldives.
MWSC provided the sponsorship to the 20 students for a period of one year, as part of their corporate social responsibility.
The MVR 240,000 cheque covering the cost of the education was handed over to Care Society in a function held at Muliaage on Monday.

Letters of sponsorship to 11 of the 20 students were also handed over on Monday, by the hands of Maldivian First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim.

Speaking during the function, Managing Director of MWSC, Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed said that MWSC had carried out a number of CSR projects in the past, and vowed to carry out more in the future as well.

Fazul also said that MWSC wished to support First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim’s efforts to arrange job opportunities for the country’s disabled citizens, and would be providing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the company very soon.
Care Society is a non-profit organization established in November 9, 1998 and serves to help the country’s disabled and wipe out inequality.
