Man injured in fight in Male’

A man was injured in a fight that took place in Male’ on Saturday night, and taken to ADK Hospital for treatment.

Managing Director of ADK Hospital, Ahmed Affaal reported that the man had injuries on his back, but that nothing critical.

Police media official gave no further details than to say that the fight took place near Artificial Beach.

Crime statistics show an increase of 22 percent in gang violence the month ended with 87 cases reported, compared to 71 in May, 2015.

Two 14-year-old boys died in Male’ in stabbings just a little over a week back.
