Diving boat “Vidhuvaru” which wrecked on S. Meedhoo reef on Saturday afternoon has been hauled inland by Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Southern Area officers.
There were seven tourists, three crew-members and one diving instructor onboard the boat when the incident took place.
MNDF reported that no one suffered any harm.
MNDF officers hauled the boat inland using an excavator arranged for by the owner of the diving boat.
MNDF Southern Area Coastguard squadron and officers onboard Coastguard ship “Huravy” worked on hauling the boat.
Tourists onboard the boat were transported to Meedhoo by MNDF officers.
