Woman arrested in suspicion of abusing her child

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll in suspicion of physically abusing her child.

The Police Media Official told Sun Media today that the woman was arrested last night under a court order.

Police said that the woman was allegedly abusing her 11-year-old child. The case is now being investigated by the joint cooperation of the Maldives Police Service and the Gender Ministry.
