Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that there would be people in different countries as political refugees and called to leave them and move forward with the development of the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Leisure Zone of the Hulhumalé Central Park tonight, Minister Dr. Muizzu said that there are oppositions working to distort the development across the country.
The Housing Minister said that the oppositions are working to distort the things that are clear to the public.
He said that every citizen needs to be aware of such things and believe the truth. And he said that there would be those that seek political asylum in other countries due to the progressive development of the Maldives and we should leave them and move forward.
The Housing Minister talked about the second phase of the Hulhumalé development at the ceremony tonight. The Minister said that the sea wall construction to protect the land of the Youth City is almost complete and the road development in the Youth City has already been contracted. He said that a contract would be signed soon to install the water, sewage and other utilities in the roads.
The newly opened Leisure Zone at the Hulhumalé Central Park was developed with a pond, a ramp and peaceful scenery.
The Leisure Zone was opened tonight by the President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
The Central Park project in Hulhumalé began in 2014 by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC). The park close to eight hectares was opened before completion in last August.
