Discussions held with UN to improve elections

Elections Commission has held a discussion with the United Nations on gaining financial and technical assistance and improving the structure of the upcoming Local Council Election and other elections.

The Elections Commission said today that UN assistance was widely discussed with the technical staff of the UN at the meeting this morning.

And so assistance on the awareness program on the Electronic Voting System about to be introduced was discussed according to the Elections Commission.

President and the Secretary General of Elections Commission along with the members took part in the meeting today.

The Commission said that the challenges to the employees of the Elections Commission was shared and discussed with the UN.
