Gadhdhoo mosque contracted to Ameen Construction for MVR 9.4 million

The mosque in Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo being built by the government has been contracted to Ameen Construction for MVR 9.4 million.

At a special ceremony held this noon at the Islamic Ministry, the agreement was signed by the Islamic Minister, Dr. Ahmed Ziyad on behalf of the government and the Managing Director of Ameen Construction, Abdulla Mohamed.

Islamic Ministry said that the mosque can accommodate 900 people at a time in prayer. The mosque is contracted to Ameen Construction to be completed within one year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Islamic Minister said that the hope is that the mosque be completed within a year and be used by the people of Gadhdhoo.

The mosque is being funded by the state budget.
