Maldives National Defence Force has concluded their 17th Photo Exhibition held at Raa Dhuvaafaru as part of the celebrations of the 124th anniversary of MNDF with a Children’s Evening.
The photo exhibition opened at the Raa Atoll School by the President of the Raa Atoll Council, Anwar Ibrahim.
The exhibition displayed photographs from the attack on the Maldives on 3 November 1988 along with MNDF initiative in social events and the MNDF efforts in response to natural disasters including the destruction at Raa Kandholhudhoo following the tsunami in 2004.
The Children’s Evening was held today at the Dhandahelu Stadium in Dhuvaafaru. The evening included stalls on the MNDF services and children’s activities.
The MNDF Northern Area Fire Station held an information session on fire safety at the event.
Dhuvaafaru Health Center and Dhuvaafaru Primary School, Pre-School and the Raa Atoll School took part in the Children’s Evening today.
MNDF presented a shield to the Dhuvaafaru Island Council commemorating the support and assistance by the council to the photo exhibition and the Children’s Evening. The shield was presented to the President of the Dhuvaafaru Island Council, Ibrahim Shukuree by the MNDF Northern Area Commander, Colonel Mohamed Shaahid.
A number of people and children attended the photo exhibition and Children’s Evening held at Raa Dhuvaafaru on celebrating the 124th anniversary of the Maldives National Defence Force.
