President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has decided the official government work hours for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
“Government working hours during the month of Ramadan will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.” A statement from The President’s Office said.
The normal working hours for government offices are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The statement also said that the government working hours from 1st of Shawwaal till 7th of Shawwaal will also be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Upon this adjustment, the President advises that all government employees plan their working schedule to fit the official hours during the month of Ramadan.” The statement said.
